The department organizes frequent local field trips and one national tour in the calendar year to various places of attractions and tourist destinations. Students were guided through and accompanied by the teachers of the department, attended training programs during the tour and participated in various tourism activities to understand the real tourism experience.

2017-2018: The students of the department visited Sohliya village, Umiam Lake Pobitora wildlife sanctuary.

2018-2019: The students of the department undertook local field trips to Krem Puri and Umkhakoi lake. The students also visited Goa as part of their national tour.
