All the teachers take their classes per week according to the workload prescribed by the UGC. Besides the normal classes, tutorial classes and remedial classes are also arranged by the teachers both for Honours and General students.
The Department evaluates students through internal assessments, which are conducted in two parts: Assignment of 10 marks + Centralised Test of 15 marks, making up the total of 25 marks. Honours students are required to make PowerPoint presentations on topics assigned, so as to foster confidence and familiarity with the subject.
