The Department organized a one day programme, “Im Ka Kyrteng Sah Ka Nam” on the 5th March, 2018. The main focus of the programme is on the life and works of V.G.Bareh, a well known Khasi poet and dramatist. Three resource persons namely Miss. M.Thabah, Dr. R.S.Wankhar and Dr. M.Khymdeit gave their presentations on the Life of V.G.Bareh, Contribution of V.G.Bareh to Khasi Drama and the Contribution of V.G.Bareh to Khasi Poetry respectively .
The programme saw a positive responds by the students and teachers of the College, other Colleges in Shillong as well as the Thomas Jones College, Jowai. The main objectives of this programme is to know the life and works of the author,to help the participants to understand the philosophy of the author as well as to familiarize them with the technique employed in his writings .
