Well attended by Honours students, the talk generated tremendous interest among them. It proved beneficial not only because it is a topic which is part of the syllabus, but because it evoked enthusiasm among some students who resolved to be actively involved in bringing change among women in society . The enthusiastic responses and participation of students was incredible.

Objective
To impart more knowledge to students on the topic and also awaken curiosity among them regarding the current scenario relating to status of women in society and come up with measures to alleviate problems faced by women.

Expected outcomes
To get students actively involved in this burning issue and become contributing members of society
