The department of Zoology organized a Talk on "Reproductive Health in Young Women" on the 25th February,2019 in the

College Seminar Hall. The objective of the Talk was to provide awareness and information to the students on common reproductive health issues in young women. The first resource person Dr (Mrs.) Wansalan Karu Shullai, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Super Care Hospital gave a broad insight into the female reproductive system and the various diseases related to it. She also stressed on the different methods of contraception, their applications and drawbacks. The lecture was followed by an interactive session with the students. The second resource person Smt. Ivyreen Warjri, Assistant Director, Good Governance, Meghalaya Administrative Building talked on the social relevance of Female Reproductive Health, early pregnancy and the role of social media on young women. This was followed by an interactive session.
