Introduction

The FOSS Centre, Lady Keane College in association with the Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay conducts the Spoken Tutorial Training Programme on various courses offered by the Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay.

The Spoken Tutorial Project is an initiative of National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), MHRD, Govt. of India, to promote IT literacy through Open Source Software.

Spoken tutorial is a video tutorial that explains an activity performed on the computer and the working of software. It is a recording of an actual session created for self learning. This type of learning allows every participant to learn at their own pace. A variety of Spoken Tutorials on various Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) in various Indian Regional languages are made available through this project.

Procedure (Who can apply and how to apply)

  • Students and staffs of the college who are interested in one or more of the above courses can contact the undersigned below and get oneself registered with the Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay free of cost.
  • Registered participants can access the video tutorials both in online and offline mode.
  • Each participant can follow the tutorial at their own pace.

Certificate

The Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay issue two types of certificates:

  • Certificate of Participation (Received on completing training).
  • Completion Certificate (Received on completing Online Assessment Test).
