UNDER GRADUATE PROGRAMME

    The College provides for undergraduate studies in both Science and Arts Honours : Six Semesters course leading to the award of Bachelor of Science (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from North Eastern Hill University Shillong recognized by the University Grants Commission.

    Undergraduate Science
    Bachelor of Science [Honours]:
    Three academic years course (six semesters) leading to the award of Bachelor of Science [Honours] from North Eastern Hill University, Shillong. The subjects taught are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology and Environmental Studies.

    Undergraduate Arts
    Bachelor of Arts [Honours]:
    Three academic years course (six semesters) leading to the award of Bachelor of Arts[Honours] from North Eastern Hill University, Shillong. The subjects taught are English, Modern Indian Language/Alternative English, Elective Language, Economics, Education, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology and Environmental Studies.

    Essential Qualifications
  1. For Degree Science/ Degree Arts (Day & morning)
    Student should have passed the 12th Class under the 10 + 2 System or Senior School Certificate Examination or any equivalent examination of a recognised University/ Board of any Indian State.
  2. Foreign Students
    Foreign students are required to have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in the 10+2 level/ equivalent examination for admission to B.Sc /B.A Examinations to be eligible for admission to the courses subject to the approval of the University.

    Note:
  1. Self financing Foreign students are to obtain permission separately from the Ministry of External affairs, Government of India and from the Government of Meghalaya.
  2. Foreign students under Scholarship Scheme are to obtain permission separately from the competent authority of the Indian Government and from the Government of Meghalaya.
  3. Admission may be given to foreign applicants only when she is in possession of a valid studentís visa issued by a competent authority of the Indian Government clarifying the reasons of her stay in the country.
    Admitted students shall produce STUDENT VISA within one month of completion of admission. In case of failure to obtain a visa within the stipulated period, the admission shall stand cancelled. A copy of the visa is to be submitted in the College Office.

    A candidate of the Bachelor of Arts may offer one of the following Modern Indian languages (MIL).

  2. Elective Honours
    A candidate may opt for the subjects mentioned below as Elective Honours in the Undergraduate Courses of the University.
